Executive Management Team

David Ramahi, President and CEO — Mr. Ramahi has been an investor and member of the Optomec Board of Directors since 1998; he joined full time in January of 2002. Under Mr. Ramahi's leadership, the company has set and executed a focused business strategy that has led to profitability and high revenue growth. Prior to Optomec, Mr. Ramahi was based in Belgium as the Director of European Sales for Rosetta Technologies, and following a successful acquisition acted as Director of European Major Accounts for Engineering Animation. Mr. Ramahi received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.).

David Keicher, Vice President and CTO — Mr. Keicher is co-inventor of the LENS technology. He joined Optomec in 1997, and under his guidance, the Company has successfully commercialized LENS as a production solution. Prior to joining Optomec, Mr. Keicher was the Principal Investigator (P.I.) for the LENS development effort at Sandia National Laboratories. He has authored over fifty technical papers, and currently holds six U. S. Patents with numerous patents pending. Mr. Keicher holds a B.S. in Electrical Technology from the University of the State of New York at Albany, and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico.

Michael Barry, Vice President of Operations — Mr. Barry has 30 years experience in senior executive positions at a number of rapid growth high-tech companies, including his role as founder and CEO of a successful software start-up, Rosetta Technologies. Mr. Barry oversaw Rosetta's acquisition by the publicly traded Engineering Animation, Inc. (EAI), where he stayed on to serve as GM and Executive Vice President. Prior experience includes senior roles at Computervision and their Metheus spin-off.

Michael Kardos, GM, Aerosol Jet Product Group — Mr. Kardos joined Optomec in 2003 to lead the commercialization efforts for Aerosol Jet systems. Under his leadership, The delivery of Aerosol Jet systems to the electronics and life sciences industries has become a global business. Prior to Optomec, Mr. Kardos was Vice President of Asia-Pacific and Latin America for Verisign, a leading provider of infrastructure services for Internet and telecommunications networks. Mr. Kardos graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from M.I.T., and holds an M.S. in Product Design from Stanford University.

Rich Plourde, Director of LENS Business Development — Mr. Plourde joined Optomec in 1998 to lead the promotional efforts for LENS. Mr. Plourde has been instrumental in establishing LENS as a proven manufacturing solution for both industrial and military applications. Prior to joining Optomec, Mr. Plourde was Regional Sales Director at Engineering Animation, a leading provider of advanced manufacturing visualization systems. Mr. Plourde holds a B.S. from Springfield College.

Ken Vartanian, Director of Marketing — Mr. Vartanian has a proven track record of over 30 years as a senior manager in engineering, sales, and marketing roles in the high-tech industry. He was a co-founder with Mr. Barry at Rosetta Technologies, and subsequent to their acquisition stayed on as Vice President of Sales at EAI where he oversaw execution on more than $60 million in annual revenue. Prior experience includes positions at Honeywell, Computervision and Metheus.
